Port Vale boss Dean Glover has Anthony Griffith available after suspension for the home clash with Chester, but Marc Richards remains a doubt. Full-back Griffith served a one-game ban for reaching five bookings, while forward Richards also missed the dismal 4-2 defeat at Notts County after suffering a dead leg before kick-off.
Danny Glover returned from suspension to play the lone striker role at Meadow Lane and is likely to keep his place if Richards fails to recover in time for Tuesday night.
Boss Glover made changes to his defence for Saturday’s game, with Gareth Owen and full-back Sam Stockley coming into the centre of defence in place of Luke Prosser and John McCombe. Lee Collins switched to right-back and Paul Edwards (ankle) started his first game since late November at left-back.
However, following a poor defensive display against the Magpies, Glover may decide to ring the changes once again.
